Thorne is a supplement brand offering a wide selection of products designed to support health. Their supplements are free of gluten, fillers, and additives and made in facilities certified by TGA and NSF International. Some products are also NSF Certified for Sport.
Thorne offers a wide selection of products for many health needs, including some screened for banned substances for athletes. However, Thorne products can be pricey, and people with health conditions should consult a healthcare professional before using supplements.
However, Thorne notes that they comply with all FDA regulations for manufacturing and labeling, and their products are manufactured in facilities certified by other third-party organizations, including TGA and NSF International.
However, while all their products are tested in-house, keep in mind that only those that are NSF Certified for Sport are tested by an independent lab. This may be an important consideration, as third-party testing can help ensure the safety and quality of supplements.
However, only select supplements are third-party tested, which may be an important consideration for some people. Furthermore, some products can be pricey, and many are not suitable for those with certain dietary restrictions, such as vegans or vegetarians.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this website! So many lovely natural products and competitive prices. Love that there are always awesome deals running. Great communication and speedy delivery. Keep it up! :)
It is understandable that you would assume all corn and soy are from genetically modified sources, but that is definitely not true in the case of Shaklee. All their products are certified non-GMO. Yes it is possible to source these. One of the unique things about the company is the unusually rigorous testing performed on raw ingredients and on finished products, far beyond regulatory requirements. Thank you for your blog!!
Check out Kirkman to add to your list kirkmangroup.com. Their products are tested for 950 environmental contaminants. Most are their brand but also sell Thorne and Nordic Naturals. Probiotics are shipped on dry ice. Would love for you to assess the green superfood powders/products out there too! You have such valuable info, thank you.
Kirkman Laboratories was busted for selling fluoride drops and tablets, which have not been approved by the FDA. Any company which sells fluoride products does not care about the well-being of its customers.
Hi Melanie,Some of the products at health food stores are quality-professional grade but others are not. Best to purchase from reputable pharmacy, physician, or health care provider or a least research before buying.
I recently purchased Pure Ecap. magnesium glycinate from Earth Turns.com & Amazon and received the same lot number from both. I contacted Pure and both products came from them as the lot numbers were verified. Both tasted of MOLD at $70 ea! I was told by Pure it was the capsule shell itself due to drying time and they assured me their products were not unsafe. NO THANK YOU! tHIS WAS THE 3RD TIME AND THE LAST!
Thorne says there are two typical consumer pathways to get consumers to buy its products for the first time; the most common pathway is through its Thorne educational platform, where a consumer searches for a specific ingredient, health concern or product, and then lands on its website to learn more through a target ad or positive media content. An interested consumer typically purchases one to two nutritional supplement products on average, with an average price of $30.70, either through its website, app or third-party site, such as Amazon.
The second path occurs when a consumer searches for a data-driven approach to determine the best product to meet their needs. These consumers also typically find Thorne's website due to targeted advertising or positive media content and purchase one health test for an average price of $182.30. This consumer then goes through the process of taking and sending the test; from there, the consumer converts and purchases on average one to two of the company's supplement products. After taking one of its tests, over 30% of consumers convert to using Thorne's recommended products.
"As a result of our merger with Onegevity, we expect that the traffic to our websites through this second pathway to continue to increase and to realize increasing revenue as a result of the synergy with our Thorne products," the company wrote.
Thorne is a popular supplement brand known for the research and development it puts into its products. With Thorne, you know the product is high-quality, thanks to the rigorous third-party testing by bodies such as NSF and TGA. The creatine powder from Thorne is our pick for the best overall creatine supplement.
Creatine is most often found in animal products. Because of this, those who live a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle may have lower creatinine levels in the body. Gnarly Nutrition Creatine Supplement is one of the best vegan creatine supplements you can buy. There's only one ingredient -- Creapure creatine monohydrate derived from non-animal byproducts. As a bonus, it's also halal and kosher too.
Products from Optimum Nutrition are made in CGMP-certified facilities, where they are tested for purity and banned substances. Each serving has 5 grams of creatine monohydrate and nothing else. The packaging instructs the user to use a rounded teaspoon for serving size, which tells just there probably isn't an included scoop.
The FDA does not enforce strict regulations for products in the supplement industry. To compensate for this, we rely on third-party certifications to ensure the product has what it says it does. These certifications are a way to vouch for the product's quality, purity and safety.
Like the rest of the supplement market, there are many creatine products out there. All of which vary by price, form and effectiveness. Not all creatine products are created equal, so there are things you should keep in mind when shopping so you find the ultimate creatine supplement for you.
The keys to your health are literally lining our shelves, and are yours for the taking, well, buying. All our supplements are GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certified and certificates of analysis verified for authenticity of ingredients and to screen out heavy metals.
